We provide a range of specialised services based around our investigative, forensic and project development skills. We work with varied clients across the various sectors to mitigate, and wherever possible, eliminate risks and issues that can lead to ultimate project failure.
We have experience in dealing with the many forms of contracts in use, both nationally and internationally and we are ideally placed to conduct independent reviews of enquiry and tender documentation, highlighting contract and commercial risks, assisting in the preparation of proposals and tender documents and participating in award negotiations.
We can offer advice upon operational risk management systems, including reviewing subcontract documents which maintain a strict contractual cascade of risk, liability and responsibilities, and assist in the establishment of regimes necessary for the optimum commercial benefits of the construction process
Understanding and mitigating the risks associated with projects is critical for developers, lenders and investors alike. As leading and experienced technical advisors, we provide comprehensive, flexible and timely due diligence services for a range of industries.
Our team draws together the combined experience of a diverse group of experts who have a deep understanding of the nuances of the global industry, the dynamic nature of investment sentiment and risks associated with technical, legal & financial issues.
We can help carry out projects effectively; ensure good project planning, design, and implementation and set the stage for long-term success. We do this by delivering a quality development monitoring service that can assist in addressing key risk and funding strategies. We provide qualitative and quantitative skills and capacity in formulating, managing, monitoring and evaluating development interventions.
Our expertise lends itself to the decision making process during all stages of a project, where financial considerations such as cash flow and the management of commercial risk can be monitored and improved thereby minimising the impact of change.
We consider the project development monitor’s role to be one of investigator and advisor to the client. They are there to advise on the risks associated with a project; by being proactive, along with providing accurate and timely advice, the development monitor is able to improve the client’s decision making process and procedures.
We believe it is essential that all parties who have an influence on the cost of the projects participate in regular reviews to ensure that cost targets are met, and that financial risks are recognised and managed as well as correctly assigned for ownership.
The project manager, with assistance from the quantity surveying team, will ensure that all stakeholders buy-in to the process which records changes to scope on design principles, the reasons for the change and the authority to accept and sign off this change.
Communications play their part in disseminating information on cost and the project management team will report the developing cost plan in regular monthly reports. These reports will include the initial cost plan, authorised variations and changes and financial risks, together with forecast and spread of spend.
Contract administration is integral to our delivery of project management services, and provides our clients with a specific role in managing and administering the construction contract.
We are highly experienced in contract administration, and this wide-ranging experience has been obtained over all sectors and clients. This gives us the skills to successfully administer and deliver contracts, and to anticipate and avoid risks whilst achieving key milestones and targets.
Formal quality management procedures will be set out in the management plan, covering everything from submittal of samples to site inspections and completion certification.
We will also undertake a thorough review of the Contractor’s quality plan to ensure it is comprehensive and relevant to the proposed works, and will assist in identifying additional requirements for the plan.
The monitoring of quality and compliance with the drawings and specification will be an on-going activity that we will ensure is adequately dealt with by the appropriate Consultants.
From the outset, we will implement robust HSE procedures and ensure a ‘zero tolerance’ stance towards any potential issues.
